INQUIRE HERE

In my Christian counseling and coaching work, I have found that Christian women are sometimes reluctant to speak honestly and openly about life’s past and present challenges. Even when a woman is ready to talk, she is uncertain who to trust that will understand her needs while at the same time respecting her beliefs.

But silence will not stop the pain or lead to healing.

Live Confident, Productive, and Strong

The hinges defining our life trajectory:
Questions - Beliefs - Decisions

Questions
Since I was a little girl, I have always had just one more question on the tip of my
tongue. You may sweep those millions of questions away without consequence. But one must be allowed to stand as my anchor.
Without a doubt, the most important question that I ever asked myself was:

“So, what will I believe?”

I answered that question at a young age. Since I was young, that decision had the
opportunity to impact my entire life, not just my adult or late adult years.

It was my own decision – not coerced or prodded by anyone else. It came as a natural response to hearing and understanding the truth of who God was and what He had done to show His love for me. Even a young girl can understand that.

The best decision of my life was made at that point.

It became and remains the core decision of my life – one that I have never regretted. Although I lacked confidence in numerous other ways, I could always bank on this one thing – God’s love for me was continually abundant. His presence remains my greatest blessing.

Beliefs
Here is the choice I made:

●  to affirm my faith in God as creator and sustainer of all life,
●  to place my trust in Jesus as Savior and giver of new life,
●  and accept the Bible as the basis for my life, worldview, and decision-
making.

That choice has been the staying factor, the anchor point, in my life – regardless of which continent I found myself on at any given time – in each difficulty that I faced.

Decisions
At their core, decisions (both critical and minor) are choices that hinge on belief.
What” questions usefully explore truth; the truth about “what” forms our core belief system for “what” makes life work or not work.

I summarize that into three practical areas of belief that influence our decisions,
attitudes, and reactions. So, in the situations and decisions I face, I try to ask myself three questions:

●  What do I believe about God (in this situation or decision)?
●  What do I believe about myself (in this situation or decision)?
●  What do I believe about my circumstances, options, and other people involved
(in this situation or decision)?

As I/we answer these three pivotal questions, we discover what influences our choices, drives our behavior, and guides our decisions. Those questions get to the heart of the matter.

Sustainable change – conflict resolution – strengthening your core
all begin at, and pivot inside, the heart level.

How do you define your beliefs? It is worth considering!

Before you click the “Start a conversation with Susan” button, I wanted you to know the beliefs that shape the “why” behind my Christian counseling services, coaching, and courses.

I would love to connect with you. My promise to you is that I will approach your
questions and concerns with kindness, compassion, courtesy, and understanding.
